Step inside the workshops of 12 contemporary European master artisans who are upholding traditional craftsmanship skills that may once have been ubiquitous but are now at risk of disappearing. All the skills presented here, including accordion making, harness making and silversmithing feature on our newly devised European Red List which has been inspired by the British Heritage Crafts Association’s Red List of Endangered Crafts, which highlights crafts in the UK that are at risk. Specially commissioned films draw back the curtain on these unique artisanal talents and show how they are striving to safeguard these precious crafts for the future.
